Information Coding and Processing (ICP) Lab, headed by Prof. Je-Won Kang in the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering in Ewha Womans University, is devoted to studying new theories in fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and image/video processing research area, and applying theories to practical applications in the real world.

Our current research activities include image and video analysis, data compression, 3D video processing, and bio-medical data analysis using AI. The works have contributed to international standards in video coding such as H.265/HEVC and 3D video coding with a number of patents and technical proposals. We also seek for research opportunities in emerging interdisciplinary fields using machine learning and signal processing.
